Roberto Bautista Agut picked up his first win of the 2026 season at the Open Occitanie last week. He defeated Christopher O’Connell in three sets, but he would go no further as he then lost in straight sets to American qualifier Martin Damm in the next round. The veteran has a 1-3 win-loss record from his first four matches of the year, having lost in the early stages of Auckland and the Australian Open.
Cameron Norrie was in Davis Cup action for Great Britain last time out, beating Nicolai Budkov Kjaer in two sets as they defeated Norway in the qualifying stage. This followed a run to the third-round for the 30-year-old at the Australian Open, as he pushed third seed Alexander Zverev to four sets.
Norrie leads the head-to-head 4-1, though Bautista Agut did win their most recent match in Cincinnati last year. The former British number one should have too much for the 37-year-old, who has made a poor start to this campaign.
