Renata Zarazua vs Aryna Sabalenka prediction

Renata Zarazua advanced to the next round in Beijing after a straight sets win over Anna Bondar. Zarzaua lost to Bondar just last week in Seoul, but she gained revenge with a 7-6 (4) 6-3 victory. Her best tour-level result of the season was a run to the semi-finals in Memphis.

She now takes on Aryna Sabalenka. The four-time Grand Slam champion relinquished her status as world number one after Elena Rybakina secured top spot by reaching the US Open semi-finals, ending Sabalenka’s 99-week reign. Salt was added to the wound when Rybakina then defeated her in the final, handing Sabalenka her second major final defeat to the Kazakh in 2026 after also losing to her at the Australian Open. The result consigned Sabalenka to her first season without a Grand Slam title since 2022.

Sabalenka will hope to finish the season with a strong Asian swing, and she should begin her campaign with a comfortable win over Zarazua.
