Reilly Opelka vs Benjamin Bonzi prediction
Reilly Opelka is without a win in his last four matches. He last tasted victory all the way back in August when he defeated Alex de Minaur in straight sets to make the third-round in Cincinnati. That ranks as one of the American’s best wins of the season, and he will hope he can recapture that level before the end of the season. Opelka’s best result of the campaign was a final in Brisbane all the way back in January.
Benjamin Bonzi could only win one match during the Asian swing as he suffered a first-round exit in Beijing and then could only make round two in Shanghai. The Frenchman will have wanted to kick on a bit more after his encouraging run at the US Open, where he made the third-round and beat former world number one Daniil Medvedev for a second time in succession but the results have not been in his favour.
These two played each other for the first time earlier this month, with Bonzi beating Opelka in straight sets in the first-round of Shanghai. The American’s big serve is likely to become even more of a weapon indoors but Bonzi is a solid all-round player and should still create enough opportunities to win again.
