Rebecca Sramkova vs Anna Kalinskaya prediction
Rebecca Sramkova’s poor form continued in Beijing as she was beaten by Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the first-round of the China Open. That extended her losing streak to three matches and she has been beaten in 25 of her 44 matches in 2025 overall. There have been a host of early exits for Sramkova this season and her best result was a sole semi-final appearance at the Nottingham Open in June.
Anna Kalinskaya is her first-round opponent in Wuhan. She also suffered an early exit in Beijing as she lost in the second-round to Camila Osorio after receiving a bye. Kalinskaya will hope to recapture some of her form from the summer, which took her to the final of the Washington Open and the quarter-finals in Cincinnati.
Kalinskaya has already proven her hard court credentials this season and will be a clear favourite to advance against Sramkova in the first-round.
