Raphael Collignon vs Juan Manuel Cerundolo prediction

Raphael Collignon’s fine run of form continued in Halle as he recorded the best grass court result of his career with a run from qualifying to the quarter-finals. He swept aside Roberto Bautista Agut and Alexei Popyrin, then showed great resolve to come from a set down to beat Mattia Bellucci. Collignon challenged world number three Alexander Zverev in two close tiebreaks, but Zverev prevailed. This was preceded by a third-round appearance at Roland Garros, which included a win over Ben Shelton.

His first-round opponent is Juan Manuel Cerundolo. The Argentine made a name for himself at Roland Garros with one of the greatest shocks in tennis history as he came from two sets down to beat world number one Jannik Sinner in the sweltering Paris heat. He then beat Martin Landaluce in a five set epic to advance to the round-of-16, where he lost to Matteo Berrettini.

Despite those heroics of last month, Cerundolo is unlikely to pose the same threat on grass, having yet to win a tour-level match on the surface.

Raphael Collignon vs Juan Manuel Cerundolo tip: Raphael Collignon to win 2-0
