Rafael Jodar vs Shintaro Mochizuki prediction
Rafael Jodar advanced to the third-round on his Wimbledon debut as he beat compatriot Pablo Carreno Busta in a match that spanned over two days. Jodar beat Carreno Busta in five sets at Roland Garros last month, and the same happened here as the 19-year-old came from two sets to one down, winning 3-6 6-3 1-6 6-3 6-4.
He will play Shintaro Mochizuki in the third-round. Mochizuki made it five straight wins as he beat Ethan Quinn in straight sets. Quinn had reached the final of the Mallorca Championships last week and was viewed as the favourite for this one, but Mochizuki started well and went on to win 6-2 7-6 (6) 7-5. The Japanese player qualified for this tournament and defeated Max Basing in the first-round.
Mochizuki’s aggressive style could cause problems for Jodar, who is still adapting to grass. The Spaniard will be expected to win, but this is unlikely to be straight-forward.
