Rafael Jodar vs Lorenzo Musetti prediction

Rafael Jodar advanced to the quarter-finals of the Washington Open after a straight sets win over 2015 champion Kei Nishikori. Jodar was not broken on serve as he won 6-2 6-3. He is inching closer to the top 20 of the world rankings for the first time in his career.

He will now play Lorenzo Musetti. The Italian continued his comeback with a three set win over Aleksandar Vukic in the round-of-16. Vukic had won his last eight matches in total, following a Challenger title earlier this month, and he extended the contest after breaking Musetti in the 12th game of the second set. Musetti regrouped well to win 6-3 5-7 6-3 after two hours and 16 minutes.

Musetti will be encouraged by how he has performed in Washington, having not featured on the tour since the Italian Open back in early May. However, Jodar is likely to be his toughest challenge yet by quite some distance.
