Quentin Halys vs Mees Rottgering prediction
Quentin Halys’ last event was a disappointing one, as he lost in the first-round to Marc-Andrea Huesler in the Quimper Challenger. This followed a second-round loss to former world number one Daniil Medvedev at the Australian Open. The Frenchman’s season had begun encouragingly, as he qualified for tournaments in Brisbane and Adelaide. This was a step in the right direction for Halys, who had struggled for much of 2025 in terms of consistent results.
He goes up against qualifier Mees Rottgering. The 18-year-old is ranked outside the top 600 in the world rankings but is set to make his second consecutive appearance at the event after stunning wins in the qualifying rounds, as he defeated Kyrian Jacquet and Roberto Carballes Baena. Rottgering made his ATP main draw debut in Rotterdam last year, losing to Mattia Bellucci in straight sets.
Despite Rottgering’s promise and momentum from his two wins, Halys is the clear favourite to advance.
