Quentin Halys is very much enjoying the best season of his career.

The 29-year-old recently landed the title in Kitzbuhel and is now on the verge of returning to the top 50 having been outside the top 100 as recently as June.

The Frenchman could yet surpass a career high of 46 with a good run here but does trail 1-0 in the head-to-head with world number 82 Facundo Diaz Acosta.

The Argentine has been collecting plenty of clay-court titles at a lower tier this year, but has just two tour-level wins this year.

Halys is full of confidence right now and despite going down in three sets to the South American at Winston-Salem three years ago, he’s the man in form and will no doubt want to make amends for that loss here.
