Qinwen Zheng vs Marta Kostyuk Prediction

Qinwen Zheng is enjoying her best run of 2025 having made it to the round of 16 courtesy of victories over Victoria Azarenka and Lule Sun, both in straight sets.

The Chinese star had been struggling with an elbow injury since last year but looks like she is finally over that as she bids to stay in the top ten of the WTA rankings.

Marta Kostyuk has had an inconsistent year so far but has looked strong in Indian Wells, defeating American pair Robin Montgomery and Caroline Dolehide on her way to the round of 16. A semi-finalist here last year, when she lost to eventual champion Iga Swiatek, the Ukrainian is no stranger to deep runs in this tournament.

Zheng has looked like a player reborn so far and is playing with freedom now that she appears to be free of the injury that has plagued her year to date. Despite Kostyuk’s recent pedigree at Indian Wells, we’re backing Zheng to progress.
