Qinwen Zheng vs Emma Raducanu prediction
Qinwen Zheng recovered from going a break down in the decider to defeat McCartney Kessler 6-3 4-6 7-5. The 22-year-old was not at her best but got her grass court season off to a winning start. Zheng has already matched her total of grass court wins from last year and will hope she can string a few wins together on a surface she is yet to thrive on.
She has a tough quarter-final match against home favourite Emma Raducanu. The Brit won her second successive match in straight sets, beating Rebecca Sramkova 6-4 6-1. She made a flying start, racing ahead to a 5-0 lead in the first set before conceding four games in a row as she suffered a wobble.
Nevertheless, Raducanu refocused to take the set and then race ahead in the second to reach her third WTA quarter-final on grass. She is guaranteed to now finish this week as the British number one and has mostly looked at ease in her first two matches.
Though Zheng may raise her game and is the number one seed at the event, Raducanu is moving well and striking the ball nicely. We think she will win the first meeting between the pair.
