Polina Iatcenko vs Alina Charaeva prediction

Polina Iatcenko recently claimed a third ITF hardcourt title of the year and will now attempt to translate some of that fabulous form on to the biggest stage.

The 21-year-old is eyeing a third main draw win from four attempt in 2025 but will need to beat a fellow Russian two years her senior to do so.

Charaeva sits 36 players above Iatcenko but has been mainly focusing on clay recently and could be vulnerable given Polina’s recent improvements. 

The head-to-head stands at one apiece between 2023 and 2024 and it could be a tussle that ends up going to the wire, given how much both players will want to savour some bragging rights.
