Pedro Martinez vs Holger Rune Prediction

Pedro Martinez will come into this round of 16 match with good confidence after overcoming compatriot Roberto Bautista Agut on Tuesday. He won 6-3 6-2 and played some really good tennis winning an impressive 80% on his second serve while generating an outstanding 13 break points.

He now faces a tough test as he meets fifth-seed Holger Rune. The Danish 21-year-old had to graft to beat Italian Lorenzo Sonego in the first round 7-6 6-4.

That win was not so easy given how well Sonego has been playing of late so Rune will take plenty from that win.

The pair have never met before but Rune will back himself to get the win over the 27-year-old Spaniard. Rune is playing pretty well and still has plenty more to come. He beat Sonego in spite of the fact he only took two of the 13 break points he generated. He will expect to be more clinical against Martinez and he has the all-round game to eliminate the Spaniard here.
