Patrick Kypson vs Mackenzie McDonald prediction

Patrick Kypson will be competing in his first tournament since the Italian Open. He pulled out of Roland Garros qualifying due to an abdominal strain, and the American decided not to compete in any of the warm-up events on grass. He will be making his main draw debut appearance at Wimbledon. Kypson’s best result was his win over Alex de Minaur at the Mexican Open, but that remains his only ATP win this season.

His first-round opponent is Mackenzie McDonald. His best result was a run to the round-of-16 in 2018. The American qualified for the tournament, defeating Christopher O’Connell in straight sets to enter the main draw. McDonald only has one quarter-final appearance this season, and that was on the Challenger Tour. 

Kypson has limited experience on grass and is short of match fitness, while McDonald will be full of confidence after his performances in qualifying. His recent run has left him well prepared for this match.
