Patrick Kypson vs Alex de Minaur prediction
Patrick Kypson is set to make an appearance in the main draw of the Mexican Open after winning both of his qualifying matches. Kypson beat Stefan Kozlov and Coleman Wong in straight sets. His best result of the season so far was a semi-final appearance in San Diego on the Challenger Tour, and he is closing in on the top 100 of the world rankings.
Kypson faces second seed Alex de Minaur in the first-round. De Minaur, a champion in Acapulco in two of the last three years, is competing in his first tournament since winning the Rotterdam Open after losing out in two previous finals at that event. The world number six has won 11 of his 13 matches this season, having also reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open for a second time.
This should be nothing but a straight-forward victory for De Minaur, who performs well in these conditions, and he should be able to get off to a fast start.
