Pablo Carreno Busta vs Francisco Comesana prediction
Pablo Carreno Busta will be competing in yet another French Open with his best finish being two quarter-final appearances in 2017 and 2022. The Spaniard now finds himself ranked 100 in the world and competing on the Challenger Tour at times. He has won two Tenerife Challengers this season but his most recent event saw him lose in the first-round of the Italian Open to Camilo Ugo Carabelli after getting through the qualifying stage.
Francisco Comesana’s best result this season came at the Rio Open in February as he beat world number three Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals. However, he would lose in his next match to Alexandre Muller. He would fail to reach the same heights, though did make the final of the Oeiras Open on the Challenger Tour. He lost in the first-round of his most recent tournament in Hamburg against compatriot Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
Neither player is in great form, and the tenacious Carreno Busta will give his all but Comesana should still be fancied to beat the Spaniard and make it through.
