Oleksandra Oliynykova vs Yue Yuan prediction
Oleksandra Oliynykova will hope to move on quickly after a heavy defeat to Maja Chwalinska in the second-round of the Singapore Open. The Ukrainian was overwhelmed 6-0 6-1 by Chwalinska after just 59 minutes. Nevertheless, it’s still been a positive campaign for Oliynykova, as she climbed to a high of 41 in the world rankings and advanced to two semi-finals on the WTA Tour. She also reached the third-round at Roland Garros.
Her first-round opponent in Beijing is Yue Yuan. Her frustrating season continued in Seoul, losing in round one to Dayeon Back. Yuan also failed to qualify for the US Open after a loss in the final stage to Mary Stoiana. Despite two tour-level quarter-finals, the Chinese player continues to hover well outside the top 100 of the world rankings.
Oliynykova has not been nearly as strong on this surface compared to clay, but Yuan will have to produce an improved performance if she is to get the victory on home soil.
