Nuno Borges achieved his best result of the season at the Mallorca Championships a few days ago, as he advanced to his first semi-final of the campaign. The Portuguese defeated top seed Luciano Darderi to reach the last four, but he was then swept aside by Ethan Quinn. Overall, Borges still has a negative win-loss record in 2026, with 20 defeats from 37 matches in total.

He begins his campaign at Wimbledon against Tristan Boyer. The American qualified for this event, as he overcame Pablo Llamas Ruiz in the final stage to enter the main draw. Boyer is ranked just inside the top 200 and does have a Challenger title to his name in 2026, following success in Tunis. This will be his first ever main draw appearance at the All England Club.

Borges performed strongly at his last grass-court event, and he should have too much for his opponent if he can reproduce that level.
