Nuno Borges will be confident of a first ATP Tour main draw win on grass when he takes on rookie Nishesh Basavareddy.

The Portuguese has yet to make any impression on the surface but has more experience than the 20-year-old American, who will be making his maiden appearance on the turf. 

Borges is more comfortable on clay while Basavareddy has more of a background on hard courts. 

The youngster will play freely with less expectation which makes it a dangerous first match back on the grass for the Portuguese world number 41, who we still expect to come good on a surface that usually takes time and experience to master.
