Nuno Borges vs Felix Auger-Aliassime prediction

Nuno Borges began his grass court campaign at the Libema Open. He won his first-round match against Terence Atmane in straight sets, and the Portuguese looked on course for the quarter-finals as he took the first set against Marin Cilic and went 5-2 up in the second set tiebreak. However, Cilic would win the next four points to level the encounter, before pulling away in the third.

Borges faces top seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in Halle. The Canadian also competed in the Netherlands, winning his opening match against Marton Fucsovics but then falling to a surprise defeat to Kamil Majchrzak. Auger-Aliassime’s best result here was a semi-final appearance in 2021.

They did play at this year’s Australian Open in the first-round, with Borges advancing after Auger-Aliassime was forced to retire due to cramp. However, Auger-Aliassime did win their first encounter in Dubai last year The world number four was not at his best last week, but he has the bigger weapons and should benefit from the quicker conditions at this event.

Nuno Borges vs Felix Auger-Aliassime tip: Felix Auger-Aliassime to win 2-0
