Not many gave Wests Tigers much hope last Sunday against a top three side in Sydney Roosters but an outstanding defensive performance and key attacking plays under pressure saw them pull off a thrilling one-run triumph. It was an admirable result for a team unable to make the top eight and who are now playing for pride.
North Queensland Cowboys are perched firmly in eighth-position at the time of writing and whether they stay there come the end of the regular season remains to be seen.
