Nicolai Budkov Kjaer vs Rafael Jodar prediction

Nicolai Budkov Kjaer got off to a winning start at the event as he defeated Martin Landaluce, after three previous defeats to him this season. The Norwegian was a break down in the fourth but wrestled back control to win 4-1 3-4 (7) 4-2 4-3 (4).  The 19-year-old enjoyed a strong campaign, making inroads on the ATP and winning four Challenger titles.

He faces Rafael Jodar next. He produced a shock in his first group stage match as he saved four match points to beat pre-tournament favourite Learner Tien. The top seed leaked errors throughout, but Jodar ended the match superbly with an aggressive brand of tennis to pull off one of the most impressive wins of his career so far. The Spaniard won 1-4 4-3 (3) 1-4 4-2 4-3 (4).

Both players are coming into this on the back of impressive wins, but Jodar will be full of confidence and has the ability to win if he replicates his previous performance.
