THE TEAM NEWS
CHICAGO BEARS
- Chicago Bears are quietly enjoying a strong season despite not really impressing, but their 5-1 record speaks for itself and they have now earned solid back-to-back wins thanks to seeing off Carolina Panthers last week.
- The Bears were in control for much of the game last week and they were able to lead throughout the contest having gone ahead with a Cole Kmet TD less than five minutes in.
- In their bid to move to the top of the NFC North, the Bears will hope that influential LB Khalil Mack can suit up as he bids to overcome a back problem whilst LT Jason Spriggs is also questionable after sitting out Saturday’s practice.
LOS ANGELES RAMS
- Los Angeles Rams dropped to 4-2 as they failed to make it three wins in a row as they fell to defeat against San Francisco 49ers in their NFC West battle and that has contributed to making that division extremely tight.
- Seattle Seahawks boast five wins at the top of the division but the Rams and 49ers are just one game behind making this an important contest as they aim to get back to winning ways.
- The Rams were limited to just 16 points against the 49ers – their lowest total of the season to date – and that is one area they will be keen to fix this week, although TE Tyler Higbee is questionable with a hand injury.
THE PREDICTION
Los Angeles Rams sit at 4-2 but will be eager to find some more consistencies in their performances with every win a crucial one as they compete for the ultra-competitive NFC West crown. That division looks like it could be very difficult to top and on the back of a divisional loss last week to San Francisco 49ers, they will be eager to respond here. They take on 5-1 Chicago Bears that have done well to hit that mark having not really played too well. They have improved in their last two matches and are more than capable of winning this but home advantage could be important here and the Rams can get the job done.
