THE TEAM NEWS
ARIZONA CARDINALS
- After losing two straight games, Arizona Cardinals were able to respond as they defeated New York Jets last week to improve to 3-2 for the season and they will hope to build on that success.
- They matched their highest-points total for the season with 30 in last week’s win but they will still be keen to find some greater consistency with the ball, especially as QB Kyler Murray has some weapons to target.
- One of those targets is WR DeAndre Hopkins who produced some spectacular plays last week for 131 yards and a TD and he will be a big target again this week against the struggling Dallas Cowboys secondary.
DALLAS COWBOYS
- Dallas Cowboys earned just their second win of the season as they edged NFC East rivals New York Giants but the victory was overshadowed by a devastating injury suffered by QB Dak Prescott.
- Prescott went down in agony as his leg got caught under a challenge when scrambling and the outcome for the QB was a terrible one as he suffered a compound fracture and dislocation of his ankle.
- Andy Dalton will take control under center for the Cowboys as they look to attempt to make the post-season without their franchise QB and in better injury news on the other side of the ball, LB Leighton Vander Esch looks set to make a welcome return for this Week 6 clash.
THE PREDICTION
Dallas Cowboys must put the loss of QB Dak Prescott behind them as they take on Arizona Cardinals. Prescott will be out for the season after the gruesome injury he suffered last week and there will be plenty of pressure on back-up Andy Dalton to perform in his absence. The Cardinals will hope to take advantage but they will need to find some greater consistency on offense. However, with the Cowboys struggling on defense, they should be able to post some points in what could be a shootout and this contest should produce at least 55 points.
