Newcastle Knights vs Canberra Raiders prediction
The Newcastle Knights (13th) are coming off a morale-boosting 26-20 win over the Dolphins. They have been inconsistent this season, with their last five games reading WLWLW.
The Canberra Raiders (2nd) are in scintillating form, having won their last five matches. Their most recent victory was a hard-fought 16-12 win over the Wests Tigers.
Winger Dominic Young has been a constant threat for the Knights, both before and after his stint with the Sydney Roosters, with a high probability of scoring a try in any given match.
Xavier Savage has been in exceptional form for the Raiders and is considered the most likely player to score the first try in this match.
The head-to-head record between these two sides is remarkably even, with the Knights winning 24 of their 48 encounters and the Raiders winning 22, with two draws. The Knights won their last encounter back in Round 18, 2024 by 4-points.
The Raiders will go into this match as firm favourites, but the Knights are a different proposition at home and will be buoyed by their recent win. We think, however, that the Raiders consistency will be too much for the Knights to handle in this one.
