Naomi Osaka vs Katerina Siniakova prediction

Naomi Osaka began her quest for a fifth Grand Slam title with a hard-fought victory over Anastasia Zakharova. The 28-year-old, who decided to skip the Cincinnati Open last month due to fatigue, surrendered leads in both sets but still went on to win 7-6 (6) 7-6 (3). Osaka is looking to add a third US Open, having won the event in 2018 and 2020. Her last tournament was at the Canadian Open, which ended at the quarter-final stage.

She next faces Katerina Siniakova. The Czech enjoyed a comfortable first-round match as she beat Elisabetta Cocciaretto in straight sets. Siniakova won 6-3 6-2 after one hour and nine minutes. Osaka leads the head-to-head 2-1. Their last match was at Wimbledon in 2025, with the former world number one easily winning in straight sets. 

Osaka has a far more powerful game, and she will be difficult to contain if she serves well and dominates the points early.
