Murphy Cassone enters the draw as a lucky loser. He was defeated by Alex Molcan in the final stage of qualifying. This will be his first appearance on the ATP this season, with Cassone currently ranked at 291 in the world. His best result of the season was a quarter-final appearance in Cherbourg on the Challenger Tour.
