Moise Kouame vs Aleksandar Kovacevic prediction
Moises Kouame became the sixth youngest player to qualify for the main draw of an ATP tournament in Montpellier. He defeated fellow countryman Clement Chidekh in three sets after also beating Elias Ymer in the first qualifying round. The 16-year-old won two ITF World Tennis Tour titles last month.
He faces Aleksandar Kovacevic. The American began his season in encouraging fashion as he got through to the semi-finals at the Brisbane International. However, his momentum stalled as he lost in the first-round of Adelaide and the Australian Open after defeats to Hamad Medjedovic and Tommy Paul respectively. This resulted in a ranking drop to 83 in the world, despite having reached a career high of 54 earlier this month. However, he did make the final of this tournament last year, losing to Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Kouame is an exciting young talent but vastly inexperienced and Kovacevic, who does tend to fare well in these conditions, will be expected to come through with a comfortable win.
