TREVOR PEEK VS CHARLIE CAMPBELL LOWDOWN

Trevor Peek (9-1(1)) showed a lot of character in his last fight. He was coming off the first loss of his career which was a humbling unanimous decision loss to Jose Mariscal at UFC on ABC 5 last year. He went on to meet Mohammad Yahya (2023) at UFC 294 and responded with a more patient unanimous decision of his own to get back in the win column.

Now, he takes on Charlie Campbell (8-2) who is coming off a perfect UFC debut last year. He was welcomed by the rusty Alex Reyes and greeted him with a vicious knockout in the first round and now hopes to extend his streak to three with another knockout.

TREVOR PEEK VS CHARLIE CAMPBELL PREDICTION

They are both extremely dangerous as aggressive boxers. Peek is a wild man and just needs one connection to swing the fight in his favour. Campbell on the other hand is more technical and will also have a slight height and reach advantage.

He should be able to find the chin easily with counters when Peeks loops bombs, but he needs to be patient. On the other hand, if Peek is more cerebral, he can execute a game plan consisting of mixing in his takedowns to overwhelm Campbell.

We can see Campbell frustrating Peek and hurting him with counters. However, we can also see Campbell getting clipped and then engaging in a brawl which will play into Peek’s hands. Campbell is a better striker, but Peek’s chin could drag him into dark waters.

The value is with Peek, but we are backing the more technical Campbell.

Prediction: Campbell via Decision

Value bet: Peek to win
