SIJARA EUBANKS VS KAROL ROSA LOWDOWN
With all the hype coming off The Ultimate Fighter back in 2017, Sijara Eubanks now sits on a humble 5-4 record. She kicked off her UFC career well with two wins at flyweight but the cut to 125 lbs was too taxing on her body. With high expectations at bantamweight, she has struggled losing two unanimous decisions to Aspen Ladd and Bethe Correia but she is coming off a decision of her own against Sarah Moras and desperately needs to build on that momentum.
Karol Rosa stands in her way and fills in for Macy Chiasson. Rosa is riding a four-fight win streak and has passed her first two UFC tests. She fought Lara Procopio for her debut a year ago squeaking past with a split decision and is coming off a more convincing decision over Vanessa Melo back in July.
SIJARA EUBANKS VS KAROL ROSA PREDICTION
Despite the difference in records, Eubanks is Rosa’s toughest match-up to date and will be a stern test for the Brazilian. She is expected to be positive as usual attacking with leg kicks and combinations, but she will have to be cautious of Eubanks counters.
Rosa is the favourite with her well-rounded skill set but Eubanks can predict Rosa’s attacks, particularly her lead left calf kick followed with the straight right. Eubanks has more speed and power and will be waiting to attack with venom. If Eubanks starts to win those exchanges, Rosa may try and clinch her up and drag her to the ground where she is very dangerous.
Eubanks has failed to fulfil her potential so far, but this could be the fight to get back on track and showcase the power in her hands.
