RICARDO RAMOS VS DANNY CHAVEZ LOWDOWN

Coming off of a decision defeat to Zubaira Tukhugov, Ricardo Ramos (15-4) will be itching to get back in the win column and establish some momentum heading into the summer and the back end of 2022. Ramos’ last win inside the octagon came nearly a year ago against Bill Algeo. So, it is crucial that Ramos tastes victory this weekend.

As for Ramos’ opponent, Danny Chavez (11-4-1), he too will be looking to get back in the win column. He was last seen in action against Kai Kamaka III. On that night, the bout would go down as a majority draw. Hoping to pick up his second win in the UFC this weekend, it is fair to say that victory is vital for Chavez against Ramos.

RICARDO RAMOS VS DANNY CHAVEZ PREDICTION

Heading into this weekend’s featherweight, Ramos will have an advantage in both the height and reach department.

Ramos is always an entertaining fighter to watch. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt is a very well-rounded fighter. His striking is crisp and his ground game and grappling are excellent. However, in some of his recent fights, Ramos tends to get too excited in his approach. If he remains calm and precise, he should get the job done this weekend. Chavez, like Ramos, has a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. From the get-go, we suspect that Ramos will look to use his significant height and reach to his advantage. The Brazillian will pick Chavez on the feet and may also look for a submission finish should the fight go to the floor.
