RICARDO RAMOS VS AUSTIN LINGO LOWDOWN

Everyone is waiting for Ricardo Ramos (16-4) to fulfil his potential. He gave us another glimpse in his last fight by sparking out Danny Chavez (2022) with the second spinning back elbow of his career. Loses to Said Nurmagomedov (2019 - TKO), Lerone Murphy (2020 – TKO) and Zubaira Tukhugov (2021) have stifled any momentum, but now he has a good opportunity to build on his Chavez assassination.

Austin Lingo (9-1) is building his own momentum after suffering the first loss of his career. He met Youssef Zalal (2020) for his UFC debut and lost a unanimous decision. However, he has responded with two solid unanimous decisions of his own against Jacob Kilburn (2021) and Luis Saldana (2021)

RICARDO RAMOS VS AUSTIN LINGO PREDICTION

Lingo has not fought for 18 months suffering with injuries so it will be interesting to see how he looks on the night especially as he is typically a fast starter. A cautious start is never a bad idea against Ramos as he loves a bit of flare throwing spinning attacks at will.

We favour Ramos to get the better of the striking exchanges and if he has learned from previous fights, he should try not to over commit and end up getting taken down. He has high-level jiu-jitsu but has been susceptible to getting controlled in the wrestling department.

If Lingo fights smart, he will counter while staying out of trouble and time his takedown attempts. However, considering his time off and Ramos’ firepower, we expect the Brazilian to have sharpened up his tools to put on another impressive performance.
