Raul Rosas Jr (7-1) returns after his humbling at UFC 287 back in April. The youngest fighter to grace the octagon was building some serious hype last year after his unanimous decision win on the Contender Series over Mando Gutierrez and debut submission over Jay Perrin at UFC 282. He then took on Christian Rodriguez and received a slap of reality and unanimous decision loss.
Now he takes on Terence Mitchell (14-3) to build that hype back up. He arrived to the UFC back in July riding an 11-fight win streak including seven knockouts and four submissions which he build on the Alaska scene. He met Cameron Saaiman at UFC 290 and it could not have gone worse getting knocked out in the first round.

Rosas Jr’s loss can only make him a better fighter and will be priceless experience. He is an explosive grappler and has now learnt a valuable lesson in pacing himself and making better decisions.
This is a good match-up here to get back on track. Mitchell is also an explosive finisher who struggles to pace himself. He is reckless and completely unproven at this level filling his record up in Alaska. He is dangerous in the first round, but his aggression can completely fall into Rosas Jr’s hands.
We expect a frenetic start and Mitchell will be a threat on the feet in the first round. However, we expect Rosas to grab him, throw him down and hunt the submission. Mitchell has good jiu-jitsu, so Rosas will need something special to make him tap, but we would not be surprised.
