RANDY BROWN VS WELLINGTON TURMAN LOWDOWN

Randy Brown (16-5) heads down to Florida for his 16th UFC fight. He was sliding into the form of his life after submitting Alex Oliveira (2021) and earning decisions over Jared Gooden (2021), Khaos Williams (2022) and Francisco Trinaldo (2022). However, the prospect Jack Della Maddalena (2023) stopped him into his tracks and showed another string to his bow submitting him in the first round.

Wellington Turman (18-6) continues to struggle in the middleweight division. After getting knocked out by Andrew Sanchez (2020) and Bruno Silva (2021), his UFC career was hanging by a thread. However, he bounced back with win over Sam Alvey (2021) and Misha Cirkunov (2022) but he is now coming off another loss to Andre Petroski (2022) to knock his UFC record to 3-4.

RANDY BROWN VS WELLINGTON TURMAN PREDICTION

This looks like a striker vs grappler match-up on paper, but they are both very well-rounded. Brown will boast a familiar six-inch reach and three-inch height advantage which he will use effectively by keeping Turman at the end of his jab and maintaining the distance with kicks down the middle.

Turman will back his striking to be able to get inside and grab a hold of Brown. His stand-up has come one leaps and bounds, but if he thinks he can exchange on the feet, he will get humbled so, he needs to try and get the fight to the ground and show off his jiu-jitsu.

We feel Brown has the grappling to keep the fight in his domain where he will create space and pepper Turman for as long as the fight lasts. We can see him getting a knockout, but a decision is a safer pick.

Prediction: Brown via Decision

Value Bet: Brown via KO/TKO
