PRISCILA CACHOEIRA VS SIJARA EUBANKS LOWDOWN
Priscila Cachoeira (12-4) is coming off the biggest win of her career in knocking out Ariane Lipski back in August. That made it four wins in her last five with a decision over Ji Yeon Kim (2022) and knockouts over Gina Mazany (2021) and Shana Dobson (2020) sandwiching a submission loss to Gillian Robertson (2021).
Sijara Eubanks (7-7) boasts one of the most unflattering records in the UFC but she has fought most her career in the big time and has struggled to find her appropriate weight class. After two unanimous decision losses to Ketlen Vieira (2020) and Pannie Kianzad (2020) at bantamweight she dropped down to flyweight to TKO Elise Reed (2021) in the first round. However, she then missed the 125 lb mark in her fight with Melissa Gatto (2021) and ended up getting TKO’d herself.

Both these ladies very strong strikers however, the question remains whether Eubanks can cut the weight smoothly. If not, Cachoeira will test that dehydrated brain. The Brazilian packs a lot of power in her hands but Eubanks has better boxing technique so the striking exchanges will be very interesting.
Eubanks has the clear edge on the mat as a black belt in jiu-jitsu so she will be wise to try and get the fight to the ground. That said, we have hardly seen her ground skills in the UFC. She is very persistent with her wrestling and that could be enough to bag two rounds at least.
If Eubanks is not too drained from the cut and fights smart utilizing her grappling, this should be a comfortable night for her but considering inconsistency and Cachoeira’s power, the Brazilian holds all of the value
