Nate Landwehr (16-4) was preparing for Alex Caceres who unfortunately had to pull out. Luckily, his training camp has not gone to waste as he is hungry to build on his momentum of submitting Ludovit Klein (2021) and coming out on top in that epic battle with David Onama (2022) earning a split decision and a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus.
Austin Lingo (9-1) steps up after his own fight with Ricardo Ramos fell through at UFC Fight Night 221 a couple weeks ago after the Brazilian botched his weight cut. He is also building some momentum after suffering the first loss of his career. He met Youssef Zalal (2020) for his UFC debut and lost a unanimous decision. However, he has responded with two solid unanimous decisions of his own against Jacob Kilburn (2021) and Luis Saldana (2021)
NATE LANDWEHR VS AUSTIN LINGO PREDICTION
This is a tough fight for Lingo but he will just be grateful this fight has not fallen through. To be fair, Landwehr is a tough fight for anyone with a monstrous gas tank.
Lingo has good cardio himself which will create a frenetic three rounds if it lasts that long. If it does, you have to back Landwehr who will not slow down.
Lingo hits very hard so if Landwehr does not protect his chin, which he has a habit of doing, he will eventually fall. For that reason, there is value on a Lingo knockout as the hefty underdog.
However, we are backing Landwehr to power through three rounds like a train mixing in his striking and wrestling to earn a decision.
