JULIO ARCE VS ANDRE EWELL LOWDOWN
Julio Arce comes into this bout in what will be his first in 20 months as he last fought in November 2019 against Hakeem Dawodu where he lost via split decision. That left him with a 16-4 record but he will be hoping to get back on track here. He was due to fight back in January but that fight against Martin Day was scratched so while he drops down to make his debut at bantamweight, he may have to overcome any rust on his return to the Octagon.
Similar to Arce, Andre Ewell is also coming off a defeat via decision as he lost to Chris Gutierrez last time out at UFC 258 in February this year. He has had three fights since Arce last fought and that activity may serve him well in this bout. He also has a boxing background like Arce, but he has shown how well-rounded he is during his career with seven wins by decision, five by submission and four by knockout.
JULIO ARCE VS ANDRE EWELL PREDICTION
This is one of the more appealing fights on the undercard as Julio Arce faces off with Andre Ewell. Arce will have the edge in power coming down a division but it is Ewell who has the height and reach advantage, and potentially speed also. Combined with Arce’s recent activity, Ewell has a number of factors in favour which could tip a decision his way.
