JOANDERSON BRITO VS WESTIN WILSON LOWDOWN
Joanderson Brito (14-3-1) has more than made up for his UFC debut at the start of last year. He arrived to the UFC with high hopes off the back of 10 straight wins. He met Bill Algeo and lost a disappointing unanimous decision. However, he fought twice more last year knocking out veteran Andre Fili and submitting Lucas Alexander both in the first round. He was preparing for Khusein Askhabov, but he has had to pull out giving the opportunity for a debutant.
Westin Wilson (16-7) steps up and has been very active fighting a staggering 10 times in 26 months. He fought four times last year submitting Tyrek Malveaux (XMMA) before getting knocked out by Teruto Ishihara (XMMA), He went on to submit Marcus Andrusia (GLFC) and John Michal Wilson (CMMA) and is coming off his 11th submission which was over Fabricio Franco back in March.
JOANDERSON BRITO VS WESTIN WILSON PREDICTION
We know why Wilson has been called up as all but two of his fights have ended via finish. He is 9-2 in his last 11 and none of them have gone past the first round. As for Brito, it is safe to say this will not go the distance.
Brito is a heavy favourite as he has the grappling skills to cancel out the threat from Wilson and he is a natural finisher. Wilson is clearly dangerous, particularly on the ground but the worry is that his defence is poor and Brito hits hard.
We can see Brito rocking the debutant early and then any finish is possible.
Prediction: Brito via KO/TKO
