JAIRZINHO ROZENSTRUIK VS MARCIN TYBURA LOWDOWN
Jairzinho Rozenstruik’s (12-3) losses have all come to three of the best heavyweights in the world. His first MMA loss was a brutal one courtesy of the current champion Francis Ngannou (2020) who ran through him in 20 seconds. The kickboxer responded with a TKO over the former champion Junior dos Santos (2020) but then met Ciryl Gane (2021) who outclassed him on the the way to a unanimous decision. Rozenstruik bounced back with another TKO over Augusto Sakai but is coming off a lob-sided unanimous decision against Curtis Blaydes (2021).
Marcin Tybura (22-7) is also coming off a unanimous decision loss which haled the best run of his career. After losing four in five including knockouts to Derrick Lewis (2018), Shamil Abdurakhimov (2019) and Augusto Sakai (2019), he went on an impressive five-fight win streak including knockouts of his own over Greg Hardy (2020) and Walt Harris (2021). However, he is coming off his sixth UFC loss which was to Alexander Volkov back in October.

Tybura is the more complete martial artist and has a huge grappling advantage which is his clear route to victory. However, the glaring stat is the four knockouts in his loss column as he is up against the third most dangerous knockout artist in the UFC behind Ngannou and Lewis.
As we saw in in his fight with Alistair Overeem, Rozenstruik only needs one opportunity to shut the lights out. So, we expect Tybura to try and close the distance as soon as possible, initiating the clinch hoping to drag Rozenstruik to the canvas.
We expect Tybura to assume some control time in the clinch, but we feel Rozenstruik’s power will create enough space to find the knockout. We are backing the Suriname native to secure his 12th knockout, but if Tybura can get the fight to the floor, all the value is on a submission or decision.
