DON’TALE MAYES VS JOSH PARISIAN LOWDOWN

Don’Tale Mayes returns to action for the first time in a year after registering his first win in the Octagon at the third attempt. His unanimous decision win over Roque Martinez came after two successive losses via submission, so he will be eager to keep this fight standing. He brings an 8-4 record into this bout as he faces off against Josh Parisian.

The Michigan native Parisian holds a 14-4 record and he too comes off a decision win, albeit split, against Roque Martinez. He has won seven of his last eight fights and 10 of his 14 victories have come via knockout. Similar to Mayes, he will look to keep this fight standing throughout.

DON’TALE MAYES VS JOSH PARISIAN PREDICTION

There is little doubting that Mayes and Parisian have been paired together to make for an entertaining bout on this undercard. Neither will look to take this to the ground and both should go searching for the knockout right from the off. While both went to a decision last time out against the same opponent Roque Martinez, it is Parisian who has the greater knockout power between the two. That said, they both excellent chins and while there could be fireworks, a slugfest over the full three rounds cannot be ruled out.

Prediction: Fight to go the distance
