DALCHA LUNGIAMBULA VS MARC-ANDRE BARRIAULT LOWDOWN

Dalcha Lungiambula brings a 11-2 record into this bout and he comes off a unanimous decision win over Markus Perez back in January. After the first knockout loss of his career against Magomed Ankalaev, he got back to winning ways against Perez after switching to middleweight and he will look to kick on here.

Marc-Andre Barriault collected his first win since 2018 last time out as he picked up a TKO win over Abu Azaitar at UFC 260 in March. He did win his previous bout via TKO but that was overturned after he tested positive for a banned substance. Prior to that, he lost his previous three matches by decision and his recent results show something of a pattern throughout his career – knockout win or decision loss. The Canadian powerhouse will be looking for a knockout right from the start.

DALCHA LUNGIAMBULA VS MARC-ANDRE BARRIAULT PREDICTION

This promises to be one of the more entertaining fights on the undercard as Dalcha Lungiambula faces off against Marc-Andre Barriault. Both of them possess good knockout power, especially Barriault, while Lungiambula’s knockout loss to Magomed Ankalaev back in November 2019 could well make his wary of Barriault’s power. The Canadian will be hunting Lungiambula down right from the start and it will be interesting to see how the 34-year-old Congolese fighter responds to that pressure.

The sensible strategy would be to stay out of the pocket against Barriault and he has the all-round skillset to avoid getting embroiled in a shootout. If he can do that, then Lungiambula is favoured to get the decision win, but a KO/TKO win for Barriault is equally possible
