Fighting out of Connecticut, USA, Carlos Candelario (8-2) has yet to taste victory inside the UFC. Despite losing on the Dana White’s Contender Series against Victor Altamirano, Candelario was given a chance to impress in the UFC. Candelario would lose on his promotions debut against Tatsuro Taira and will be itching to taste victory this weekend.
As for Candelario’s opponent this weekend, Jake Hadley (8-1) earned himself a chance to compete in the UFC after a successful stint on the Dana White’s Contender Series back in 2021. However, Hadley would go on to lose his UFC debut against Allan Nascimento. Therefore, the Englishman will be desperate to get back to winning ways this weekend.

Heading into this weekend’s flyweight bout, despite both men having the same reach, Candelario will have the edge in height.
It is fair to say that this match-up is an intriguing one. Candelario does possess the ability to exploit some of Hadley’s weaknesses. Unfortunately, Hadley is by far faster of the two and is more well-equipped in every department to end the fight. Candelario will have to be smart, otherwise, it will be a quick night at the office for Hadley. From the off, we suspect that Hadley will look to hit the ground running by taking Candelario to the canvas and, eventually, get the submission victory.
