BOBBY GREEN VS JARED GORDON LOWDOWN

Bobby Green (29-14-1) is 2-4 in his last six, but that schedule includes Thiago Moises (2020 – unanimous decision), Rafael Fiziev (2021 - unanimous decision), Islam Makhachev (2022 -TKO) and Drew Dober (2022 - KO) – absolute killers. Sandwiched in between those losses were two vintage performances knocking out Al Iaquinta (2021) and outpointing Nasrat Haqparast (2022).

2022 was also a mixed bag for Jared Gordon (19-6) going 1-2 but it could have easily been 2-1. He suffered the fate of many getting submitted by Grant Dawson but bounced back with a unanimous decision over another submission wizard in Leonardo Santos. He got awarded a date with Paddy Pimblett and fought better than the scorecards suggested losing a unanimous decision.

BOBBY GREEN VS JARED GORDON PREDICTION

They must both still be bitter after their recent losses for different reasons. Green takes pride in his boxing defence and Gordon simply got robbed. It seems the UFC may agree as Green is arguably a tougher opponent than Pimblett.

He is one of the best boxers in the division and boasts a wealth of experience against the elite. Gordon’s striking continues to improve but it will be his wrestling that wins him this fight.

That said, we feel Green’s takedown defence is good enough to keep the fight on the feet for the majority of the fight. Then, he can get to work with his lightening combinations pouring out volume.

He has the movement to dictate the tempo and the defence to stay out of trouble. Gordon will make this competitive wherever the fight goes, but we are backing Green to get back in the win column.
