Mirra Andreeva advanced through to the quarter-finals in Brisbane after coming from a set down to defeat Linda Noskova in the previous round. She now faces Marta Kostyuk for the first time, with a place in the semi-finals on the line. The Ukrainian claimed a fantastic win in the round-of-16 as she defeated world number three Amanda Anisimova in straight sets. This was her first win against a top 10 opponent in 11 months.
The higher-ranked Andreeva will be the favourite for this one, but Kostyuk has produced a really strong level at this tournament so far and will take so much confidence from her victory against Anisimova.
