Lin Zhu came from behind to convincingly end the hopes of Great Britain’s Emma Raducanu.

The Chinese wildcard rallied to claim a 3-6 6-4 6-1 victory and set up a second meeting with top seed Mirra Andreeva.

Their maiden encounter saw the Russian race to a 6-2 6-2 success in Beijing recently and while Lin Zhu has more in the tank now in terms of match-play, it’s hard to see her coping with Andreeva’s relentless firepower in a match-up that doesn’t suit the Chinese underdog.
