Mirra Andreeva vs Elina Svitolina Prediction

17-year-old sensation Mirra Andreeva continues to go from strength-to-strength in the world of tennis and underlined her incredible potential with a thoroughly dominant victory over seventh seed Elena Rybakina in the round of 16.

The Russian dropped just three games against Rybakina as she dominated on serve and showed real authority in her return games. After becoming the youngest ever winner of a WTA 1000 event in Dubai recently, few would be surprised if Andreeva went back-to-back this week.

Elina Svitolina, a former semi-finalist at Indian Wells, dropped the first set against fourth seed Jessia Pegula in the round of 16, but recovered superbly to win the next two sets 6-1, 6-2 and gain revenge on her defeat to that opponent in Qatar last month.

While Svitolina is a force to be reckoned with, she has never faced Andreeva before and could well be the latest victim of the Russian’s brilliance. Andreeva has dropped just one set in her last nine matches on the WTA tour, and given the confidence the youngster is playing with right now, another straight-sets win looks on the cards.

Mirra Andreeva vs Elina Svitolina Tip: Mirra Andreeva to win 2-0
