Mirra Andreeva was in ruthless mood as she swept past Maya Joint to reach the last four in Adelaide.

The Russian dropped just two games as she crushed her fellow teenager 6-2 6-0 to set up a fourth clash with Diana Shnaider.

The ninth seed booked the all-Russian battle for a spot in the final courtesy of a convincing 6-3 6-3 success over Emma Navarro.

Andreeva leads the head-to-head 2-1 and did win their only previous match on hardcourt, although Shnaider prevailed in their most recent meeting in 2024.

Shnaider has scored impressive victories over the likes of Leylah Fernandez and Navarro this week, but Andreeva has looked even more imperious, dropping just six games en route to the semis.

Shnaider has the game to cause problems but question marks remain over consistency and if she’s to prevail in this match-up, she’ll have to red-line a lot.
