Michael Zheng vs Sebastian Korda prediction
Michael Zheng’s run at the Australian Open was cut short by injury as he was forced to retire against Corentin Moutet in the second-round. He had advanced to the main draw after winning all three of his qualifying matches, while he also got through to the semi-finals of the Noumea Challenger at the start of January. He has won seven of his nine matches in 2026 so far.
Sebastian Korda began the season with a quarter-final appearance in Brisbane, but three straight losses saw the American drop down to compete on the Challenger Tour in San Diego last week. Korda won four matches in a row but couldn’t pick up the title after a final defeat to Zachary Svajda.
This will be a rematch of their first-round match at the Australian Open less than three weeks ago. Zheng went two sets up, before Korda staged a comeback to level the match. Zheng would ultimately wrestle back the momentum and come through to win in five. There was very little to separate the pair that day, and this is likely to be another close affair.
