Maya Joint vs Sonay Kartal prediction
Maya Joint continued her impressive campaign with a win over Diana Shnaider in the second-round. The 19-year-old, who has won the first two titles of her career this year, edged a tight first and dominated the second to win 7-5 6-1. Joint broke Shnaider on five separate occasions and created 11 break point opportunities in total.
Sonay Kartal is her next opponent after the Brit defeated Daria Kasatkina for the second time this season. Despite the disparity in ranking, it was a comfortable match for Kartal who won the last seven games to win 6-3 6-0 against the world number 20. She made the round-of-16 at Indian Wells and Wimbledon earlier in the season and is just one game away from achieving the feat in Beijing.
Kartal will be confident after such a fine win against Kasatkina, but Joint is likely to dictate the rallies in this one and we think she will get through.
