Maya Joint vs Leylah Fernandez prediction
Unfortunately for Maya Joint, she has run into Leylah Fernandez at a bad time when taking into account that the Canadian is riding the crest of a wave right now. The former US Open runner-up is playing some of her best tennis since that fairy-tale run and is coming off the back of having just lifted her most notable WTA title.
The win the Washington Open wasn’t just impressive in its own right, it was the manner in which Fernandez won it. She was utterly dominant in the final against Anna Kalinskaya, winning in two sets whilst dropping just three games.
